Serrano is a small, in-home TICA registered cattery, located in the California gold country of the Sierra foothills and nestled among some of the most outstanding wineries of El Dorado County. Near Placerville, we are only an hour from South Lake Tahoe to the east, Pine Grove/Jackson area, to the south, Elk Grove to the west, 45 minutes from Sacramento and 2 ½ hours from the Bay Area.

Visit Apple Hill in late summer and early fall or one of the many outstanding wineries that are open all year. The new Red Hawk Casino is only 20 minutes away on Hwy 50. In addition, you can go skiing or snowboarding in the winter. There are even cross-country skiing trails nearby. In the Spring and Summer, you can go fishing, boating, kayaking on the American River, or camping, and hiking in the Sierras, then pick up you kitten on the way home. Located nearby are two small airports that some of our customers use to pick up their kittens.

Our Bengals and Savannahs are TICA registered top-quality cats. Our cats live with us as part of the family. All our kittens are well socialized raised underfoot and introduced to our three small dogs.

We have phenomenal, exotic looking, leopard-like Bengals for pets and occasionally, some non-traditional colors like the magnificent black spotted melanistics that look like miniature black leopards or jaguars.

Our Show or breeder Bengal kittens are highly glittered, have cutting edge rosettes, clear backgrounds, vivid eye and pelt colors and awesome rosette patterns. Striving for perfection, we work with International Winner, Supreme Grand Champion, as well as the Bristol lines in our Bengal program. Because some of our customers do not want to breed or show, but want that very special, high quality kitten, the show/breeder kittens will occasionally be sold as a spayed or neutered pet.

Our Savannahs have outstanding Serval qualities. Great muzzles, large ears, ocelli markings, tawny or golden with dark spots, these animals are like no other. Intelligent, loyal to a fault, these little athletes will warm their way into your heart.

Savannah Size:  We know you all want to know just how big your Savannah kitten will grow up to be. Predicting exact weights and heights is impossible on living mammals. We have provided a lot of information on our website regarding the history and overall description, and characteristics of the different generations of Savannahs. (See "FAQ'S about Savannahs".) There you will find the averages for each generation. The Savannah breed continues to evolve and is in its "infancy" of development. Some descriptions are just averages and may change in the future as we (Savannah breeders) continue to develop that wonderful Serval-like cat.

All kittens come with a written health guarantee, 4 - 6 generation pedigree, and vaccinations up to date, for the current age of the kitten and a health record.   We do HCM testing. Some of our breeder kittens are tested at UC Davis for coat color inheritance. All pet kittens sold with spay/neuter written contracts. TICA registrations for pets sent upon proof of spay/neuter. No exceptions.

Requests for photograph:

On our website we provide lots of information regarding pricing, shipping, and history and have spent countless hours developing photos of our kittens at certain key ages and poses. Photographing lively, quick-as-lightening kittens is difficult at best and extremely time consuming. Even though we would love nothing better than to spend countless hours photographing our kittens, we just can't based on the high volume of requests we receive daily. The kitten photos of the available kittens being advertised are already current and we update them as needed.   We hope you understand.   Kittens being held with deposits will be photographed at 7, 9, 10, 12, 14 weeks of age or on request.

Pricing:

 Evaluating kittens for quality is an on-going process. We usually know the category and price at 7 - 10 weeks of age. However, some we wish to hold on to for a while to continue evaluating for show or breeding kittens.  Our Bengal prices are pretty standard.  Pet kittens start at $500.00 and good quality pet ranges from $700.00 to $850.00, depending on the overall quality.  Breeding kittens start at $1,200.00 and show quality kittens start at $1,500.00.

Our Savannah kittens start at $950.00 for pet males and pet females start at $1,200.00.  Please contact us for current prices on breed quality Savannahs.

Shipping:

 Shipping is available and information regarding shipping can be obtained on our website. We prefer you pick up your kitten but that isn't always possible. We have been shipping animals for years and have always had great success with the airlines. We have also shipped internationally.

On occasion, we will drive about half way for customers in Southern California who wish not to ship.  The stress level to the kitten and cost is considerably less than shipping by air.

Discounts: A 10% discount is given for the purchase of two kittens at the same time. For repeat customers, a 10% discount on the purchase of another kitten.

Deposits (see Deposits for more important information.) are required to hold a kitten of your choice.
